SIZE INFORMATION
Please check your size carefully before ordering to avoid disappointment and the expense of returning items. Customers are advised to check their actual size by tape measure or by measuring a garment that fits comfortably before ordering.
Actual Garment Measurements
In our item listings we show the Actual Garment Measurements. We measure by hand with a tape measure at least one of every size of every garment and show these measurements on the website. These are the actual physical dimensions of the garments, NOT your sizes. We do not list 'To Fit' sizes. For example, if you have a 56" chest, then you would want to choose a garment with an actual chest measurement of more than 56", probably 62" to 64" for a really comfortable fit. Where we show a chest measurement this is measured around the chest at the level of the arm seams. Where we show a garment length, this is the actual measurement on the back from the seam at the collar to the base of the hem. The height of the collar, if there is one, is not taken into account. Please note that any measurements shown are approximate - due to variations in fabric and manufacturing processes there will be natural variations between garments beyond our control. Please email us if you need any advice with sizes.
The Big Ozzy Tape Measure
If you don't have a tape measure, you can download, print and cut out our exclusive Big Ozzy Tape Measure. This will help you work out the correct size to order. Please note that you need Adobe Acrobat to view the Big Ozzy Tape Measure.
Should I order several sizes if I'm not sure? We actively discourage customers from ordering the same item in multiple sizes with the intention of sending back those that do not fit - this practice stops other customers from ordering their required sizes and increases our costs which is unfair on all customers. Therefore, a restocking fee of at least £5 per item is charged where multiple sizes are ordered. If the actual measurements of a garment are not listed, we are more than happy to measure garments for you - please email us for advice before ordering.

For some trousers we list the actual measurements for the thigh circumference, front rise and rear rise. These are the actual measurements of the garments, not your sizes. The diagram below shows how the measurements are obtained. There is a 'cross' seem at the crotch where all of the panels meet - it is from this seem that measurements are taken. Please see our guidance above for what we mean by 'Actual Garment Measurements'.

Thigh (Circumference): Measured from the crotch seem across the leg diagonally parallel to the cuff. The measurement is the circumference of the thigh (all the way round).
Front Rise: Measured from the crotch seem to the top of the waistband at the front of the garment.
Rear Rise: Measured from the crotch seem to the top of the waistband at the rear of the garment.
